And don't forget to bring your Ukulele!
We are always open to new players. If you are completely new to the ukulele check out our New Players page, and the Beginners Course. A fundamental part of most Ukulele groups is singing along. It doesn't matter if you think you can't sing, it's not a competition and we welcome rubbish singers.
On 19th September 2023 Ukey Hooky became a registered Community Interest Company. As part of our Articles of Association, we aim to fulfil 4 main activities:
-
Regular Group Meet ups for Strumalongs and Jam Sessions.
-
Accessible to Everyone, by providing online courses, downloadable Song Books and additional material through the Website.
-
Public Performances. Opportunities for group members to take part.
-
Group, and Individual Development. Opportunities for group members to Assist and Facilitate group sessions and activities.

About Me
My name is Brian, and I am a highly skilled Workshop Facilitator with experience spanning over 20 years. I have facilitated Creative Workshops for 3rd sector organisations including Crisis, Cardboard Citizens, and Equality Network. I have also been an Entertainment Manager, Stand-up Comedian, and have been a Guest Speaker at the British Society of Comedy Writers Annual Conference. So with our Group Strumalongs you are getting more than just a facilitator - you are getting someone who is supportive, passionate, and genuinely interested in helping you to build your confidence and experience in playing the Ukulele. But don't take my word for it, here is what some of the previous participants have said...
Fun, good social interaction, patient teacher... great learning to play an instrument in a fun environment. Well explained tutoring, made to feel at ease. Linda W. Falkirk

Good tutor - excellent ability, keen to share knowledge, took time to explain individually where people were finding things tricky. Jim P. Falkirk

Brian is a great teacher, looking forward to playing more. C. H. Falkirk
