Beginners Course

In this first lesson you will learn the basics on how to hold the Ukulele using a 5-Point Checklist; a very effective technique that will assist new players how to hold the instrument correctly. You will also learn your first chord, and practice Strumming.

In this Lesson you will learn 2 New Chords; A minor and F, and practice changing chords while Strumming.

This lesson introduces our 3rd chord, G7 and we continue practicing Strumming while changing between chords C, F, and G7, in preparation for our introduction to Rock 'n' Roll!

In this Exciting Lesson we are introduced to the foundations of Rock 'n' Roll and learn about Chord Progressions with Chords C, F, and G7. Things are about to get very interesting as we start playing 12-Bar Blues.

This session shows 7 different strumming patterns that can make your playing sound more interesting, and I reveal a simple but effective technique that can enhance the rhythm of a song, giving it a more creative and more interesting.

This Session introduces our next Chord 'G' and we practice our next Chord Progression with 4 Chords; a very widely used chord progression which has been used by The Beatles, Elton John, Bob Marley, Jason Mraz, and many more. Once you learn this sequence of Chords it opens up a whole new world of songs that can be played!

This Session introduces the 'D' Chord; our 6th and final chord for this Beginner's Course. We will also do a Strumming exercise with Chords G, C, and D.

In this final Session of the Beginner's Course we are introduced to the Scale of C Major which we will play along to a backing track, and we take a quick look at the next few chords to continue with our Ukulele Journey.
